While many people will shop the big box stores for deals Friday, smaller retailers want you to pay particular attention to them the day after. There’s a national campaign from the small business division of American Express, Open Forum, called “Small Business Saturday” taking place November 27th.
The basis of the campaign is that dollars spent in small businesses keep the economy strong – for every $100 spent in locally owned stores, $68 dollars returns to the community.
